HELP! can't transfer zip disk from pc to mpc

Ok, I got an iomega zip100 for my mpc, and it works fine....I got a dell 250 zip for my laptop and it also works fine, but I can't transfer files between the two! When I format a disk on the mpc the pc won't read it, and when I format on the pc and put a .wav file on it, the mpc just reads it as ????

i had this problem too, its got to do with xp. i have a 100mb in my pc and a 250mb in the mpc. neither will read each others disks. i got the iomegaWare program from there site. formatted a disk ( on the pc ), put on some programs off the pc and bang the mpc read them. give this a try dude!

so, just by formatting the disk with iomegaware you could load .wavs and .pgms from your pc? it seems like you had it backwards from me, i've got a 250 in my pc and a 100 in my mpc. Is it really this simple?

Yeah, this has been a hot topic in the forums for a while now, lemme attempt to break it down again. Format your ZIP FAT16 on PC using Iomegaware. Then the MPC will be able to read it. PC cannot read MPC format. I stick with 8 letter filenames, if you use longer names the MPC will truncate/cut them down to 8 then your PGM's and APS willnot recognize the new name cause the MPC is still looking for the old name. Try that.
