Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hi there!
I have just installed my 8 output board in to the 2000 xl the output board is by mutec.
The problem is that it does not send out any efx from the eb 16 to my mixer - does this has to do with the fact that it is not an ibm board?

If i for example wanto send my kickdrum to channel 1/2 of my mixer - i hear it through the mixer, sure - but without efx! - when i unplug it and put the cable into the usual 2 outs - i can hear them very good! - i tried also other variations from which it is clear that it's the board that does not send out anything (I for example pluged into the usual 2 outs and plugged into the 1/2 of the mixer, still could hear the efx!) -

does anyone know what's wrong, the outputs themselves work - they only pass no efx - in this an internal mpc problem - or do i just mess up with the cables?or the mixer? I have a spirit folio 6/2 -
Is it maybe the case that mutec output boards don't send out efx?
naaah -

anyway - anyone who could help me on this?

The effects CAN be sent to the individual outs.
You have to select which outputs you want the effects to come out of.

1. Press [SHIFT]+[7] to open Mixer

2. Press [FXedit]

3. Move the "cursor" and highlight [MIX]

4. Press [OPEN WINDOW] to open Effect Mixer

5. Move the cursor to the lower left corner to [Output:L/R] and highlight L/R

6. Turn the Data Wheel to select your Effect Output
(your choices will be L/R, 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 )

It took me a while to figure this out too.

It's on page 139 of the manual (Effects chapter, under Multi-Effects.)
It's not very clear though.
