I've been getting alot of static with some of my zip drives....but when i put a new zip in with some sounds on it there is no static....so what i want to do is copy the info on the bad zips onto the new zips....the problem is when i goto copy the bad zips to the new zips using my computer the computer tells me the disk needs to be formatted....but if i format the disk it will erase everything on it right? So how can i get the info on the bad disks onto the new disks....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Load up the sounds in the mpc, take the bad disk out, put the new disk in, save the sounds on the new disk.

Hopefully the bad disk hasn't damaged the files themselves, otherwise it'll just be the same.

Yeah do what my man said above or if the zip can be opened at all in your PC copy the files to your hard drive then save them to a new zip. Hope u get it going.

The reason you get that message when you try opening the zip in the PC is because its an MPC formatted disk.

Format your disks on your computer as FAT for them to be compatable with both the PC and MPC.
