sorry for the subject line incomprehensibility, I've just downed a few beers to drown my absolute frustration with the FU**ING MPC. (last night as well after this same problem occured on a different tune).
Here it is. If you're a regular reader of this digest, you know I've had some issues already (some retarded, some still unsolved). The current bug has to do with entire folders on my zip disk suddenly becoming "corrupted and unreadable." The only thing I can think of that might have caused this is last night, I was deleting some sounds from a different program, deleting some sounds from the zip disk as well. Then, a completely unrelated folder becomes corrupted. WTF?
I remember reading somewhere about XP and the mpc2kxl having some sort of bugs...now I really need to know if I can fix any possible bugs, or what. I don't know how many more days' worth of work I'm willing to lose due to mysterious zip/mpc/etc. problems. I only work like 3 days a week so I can spend the rest of my time working on music. I have to eat ramen 5 times a week because I dropped so much cheese on this MPC. And it taunts me!
Oh yeah, that .pgm file I asked about last is still gone; I just recreated the whole thing. But, like that arcade delight Whack-A-Mole, when you beat one problem over the head, another just pops up, it seems.
Please, help. The MPC is turning me into an alcoholic.
