even though I am sure this has been discussed. What method do you guys use to transfer you songs from the mpc to the computer?
Right now I am just recording each track into sonar as audio, and keeping it on time with MIDI Clock. This takes a long time so I have been just recording the loop and then cutting and pasting it. This is allot faster but you loose some quality when you do this. First of all their is a little pop when it loops over (very very slight). And the loop is not exactly perfect since you can't chop it perfectly at the beginning and end.
I am looking for a new way of transfering my songs to my computer. THe 8 outs is too expensive. One of my friends who makes beats with a Motif6 is able to save his song data as MIDI onto a usb chip. THen he pops the usb chip into his computer, loads up cubase and then his whole song is on his computer as MIDI. All he has to do is record each MIDI track as an audio track. Is it possible to do something like this with the MPC? I have the 2000xl if that matters..
