A Midi dump is when you take the info from 1 device and send it to another. You can use to help save info and alot of other things. For example I send a midi exclusive system dump from my proteus to the MPC. So when I send the system exclusive back it will bring up all the settings I had for that particular session. To find out how to do it with your device you need to check out the manuals. It will take a little effort, took me awhile to understand but very much worth it.
