RECORDING TO EXTERNAL CD BURNER?

Yeah I normally record from my mpc to my computers line in, but when i record that shit sound horrible, theres hiss in the beat and its low and lacking bass.

If i buy an external burner can u only record one song to a cd, or can u burn songs to the cd at a later time? Because if you can only record one song thats like a waste of a cd.

Depends on what kind of burner you get. If you get an external CD-R burner as long as it's a CD/RW writer you can record and re open to add more tracks to it. Be it a cd burner for PC or MAC .I use a dual cd burner (digital audio) deck to do what you described in your post. My dual deck is CD RW. The only catch with my deck is although it can read and playback CD R/CD RW it can't record to that medium only the ones with the digital audio logo. I burn from my mixer using the digital line out from the mixer to the digital in on my burner deck. If all you're going to use is the MPC sounds you could use the digital lines for that to. It comes out clear.

I remember reading that you cant save your files to an external CD-RWSCSI....Is this true? Im not looking to record with an external writer, I would just luv to have 700mb to work with vs 100mb ZIP....Plus this way I could chop up samples in pc, write em to re-writeable and load em into MPC that way as Wav.

I got a phillups cd player/recorder from guitar center. This is a simple unit that has rca line, analogue, and a digital in. I record with this deck all the time. You can adjust the record in db. level, and even name your tracks. The recording starts when the sound signal begins, and stops when the signal ends. I even use this this for recording mixed records. There is a function where you can go in, and designate track change. I got this this on sale for $120!!!! This was a year ago, but Im shure you could find something comparable...

I use the phillips deck too. I've had it for about 3 years now and never had a problem with it. It's a pretty solid unit. This is the easy way to get your beats on to CD. You can also record mulitple tracks on the cd, up to 74 or 80 minutes, but once you finalize the cd you can't record anything else on it.

btw, what cord do I need to use the digital input on the recorder? I have a 16 channel mixer that should have the digital out-put.
