Sample Question

I was reading an article on 9th Wonder in the newest Scratch magazine and he said that unless a song is very rare never sample the first 10 seconds of it. Does anybody understand the logic in this?

Can't say I do.

The more rare it is the less people have heard it and maybe you won't get caught in a lawsuit. That's my take on it.
