MPC + Keyboard set up ??

Okay ....
- MPC hooked up to Keyboard via midi.
- Want to sequence Keyboard sounds on MPC sequencer

Do you hit record on MPC then play keyboard ?
Or do you use MPC pads to play keyboard sounds and record ?

mpc midi out to keyboard mid in.
MPC as master, keyboard as slave.
keyboard to ext clock, mpc to internal clock.
Tempo is coltrolled by MPC.
local control off on keyboard.

What keyboard and what MPC specifically?

Your reply confirms what I assumed. An external Keyboard can be used as a sound module. Nice.
Initially I thought the MPC could only sequence samples. I guess it can sequence Midi notes also.

Now, ask yourself what does MPC stand for and that's your answer also. I use my Triton classic keyboard as a sound module most of the time.
