How to set up Sound Module

Sorry tutor for posting this. It probably was posted 1000 times but when i did a search nothin came up. I was to lazy to go through every post. I was just wondering how you would set up the mpc2000 and a sound module(emu proteous is the one im lookin at)? Can somebody explain to me how it works.

MPC midi out A into the midi in of the proteus.... change the track on the MPC to midi A 1...2...3.. or what ever instrument you trying to use on the corresponding track of the proteus and start banging.......
