Keyboard (controller) Midi out can go into MPC Midi IN A....

Then MPC Midi Out A can go into Module Midi IN....

Midi is only a signal, so if something is going out, it's must go into an IN.. Vice/Versa...

I won't go any further into details, but this should be enough for you to understand. TRY IT AGAIN

Be more specific, like, what kind of problem are you having?

Make sure the modules and MPC are on the same Midi channel

Also make sure your track (on MPC) is set to MIDI A or B to the corresponding module to play from.

What kind of modules are they? Some are easier than others to determine Midi settings... Go back to the module manuals and check the midi settings for them as well.

I'm trying to connect my MPC2000XL to my DAW (Cubase SX) via my Terratec DMX soundcard so that i can send my MPC sequences to Cubase and also press play on the MPC and Cubase plays simultaneously. I heard this was possible.


I have a MIDI cable going out of the MPC into my soundcard. What am I doing wrong?!

PS: I did do a search 4 MIDI synchin but didn't find that post. I guess i didn't type the right words in the search bar.

FUNNILY enough though, i figured out how to synch Cubase wit ma MPC JUST last nite before seein tha post.....BUT didn't realise that by pressing record in Cubase, u cud track each of the MPC tracks.

I'm gonna watch tha rest of them post now, more to learn!

I'm trying to sync my mpc with cubase sx3 and have not been able to get it to work. I'm running a midi cable out of my maudio interface and in to the mpc. In the midi/sync screen on the mpc I have the mtc showing with 25 frame rate and mmc on to recieve. In cubase sx3 I have mtc selected and I have three options for the mtc input source: 1) Not connected 2) In USB AUdio Quattro 3) All MIDI inputs. On classic's video he has an older version of cubase and says to select out usb quattro as the source which is not an option. Then it asks for the number of locked frames, drop out frames, and inhibit restart ms all of which I'm not sure about. This is followed by mtc destination options which are: Soundmax, Out USB Quattro or Microsoft synth. I assume that the quattro is the right one but I have tried all the variations and nothing has worked. Please let me know what I need to do to get it to work right.
