In the TRIM screen, when you press PARAMS, there is a "Level:__" setting.

First of all, it goes from 0-200, but it seems like it doesn't get any louder after about 130. Why?

Also,
Whenever I set a sample's level above 100, say 125 for example --
--after I save the sample, when I load the sample in again later, the Level setting is back to 100. Why?

where it says "replace same sounds" put "yes". If you put "no" I believe its not really saving the sound that it already has, so you have to replace it with its new settings.

Good suggestion Boogie, but I already thought of that.
I've even tried saving the individual sample (not just pgm) while choosing "replace"....but the next time I load it, the Level is back at '100'

Try this, before you set it to loop(to test your sample points adjust the volume in your param screen and then hit loop option. Also what you could try is adjusting the volume in the param screen then go back to the trim screen highlight the sound and under the edit screen scroll over to the selection new sound menu hit do it and go back to the original sample delete it and change the number value on the new one to reflect the old one. of course you will have to replace/delete the original version on your zip or floppy as well. It sounds like a lot to do but it's not when you do it.

OH!! I figured it out. The PARAMS Level setting doesn't save unless you save your sample as a .snd
If you save as .wav, then that setting isn't kept.

Thanks for the help guys.

Yeah, I had always saved as wave and wondered why that never worked for me.. Now I know.. I convert everything to wav then I use it cause it's easier for Sound Forge..
