Connecting 2000xl directly with a laptop?

Howdy all,

Is it possible to connect the 2000xl directly with a PC laptop rather than use an external CD ROM, Hard drive etc? Sorry if this is a silly question, have looked trough the manual but there is only references to CD drive, hard drive and floppy disks. Help would be much appreciated, i am an amateur to all this stuff.

If this is possible, is there some sought of software for the lap top where you can just click and drag loops or hits and assign them to pads all on the laptop?

not that i know of. to do that i believe you would need an mpc 1000

NOw you can connect your MPC to your laptop for audio routing purposes. Such as for gettin your beats saved to your hard drive or to make a beat cd.

ONe
