the filter on the eb 16 effectscard sucks!!

When dropping a kick or a snare on my mpc 2000 i mostly have to use the effects-filter cause without it they sound empty. But when i apply the sounds transform during the whole song and you can't do nothing about that. I just need a good internal equalizer instead of that cheap souding eb-16 card.
I mean akai doesn't have the best effects but they ask a mighty big prize for them.

Anyone recognize the problem?

I save the majority of the effects for the mixdown.

I don't know what to tell you, yo. But it works fine for me

if you dont want the eb16, ill gladly take it off your hands!

Try an outboard filter or do like Jac suggested and just save it for the mixdown.(mixer/computer)

Electrix has a nice filter and i'm sure you can find alot more by browsing through the bay or online like Samash,Armens',Zzounds etc.

I see, so you use the effects to fix your sample? So is this a problem with the effects or the sample selection?

Sorry, I cannot follow that all. You are applying a sound? Applying an effect? On a sample? On a song? Why?

The EB I use has an EQ.

Start with good samples, not empty ones, and EQ won't be necessary.

on the right side of the filter screen are a few parameters called something like 'filter modulation' (I ain't got my mpc with me); turn 'em all to zero. I think this is the solution for your sound transforming problem....

I mean i use eq effects for my kicks and snares just to boost up the bass sound.

If you have a comp...Get Cool Edit...You can put a ton of effects into your samples...
