greetings all.. been lurking for a while and finally got my first mpc last week (2kxl).
wish i had done it 10 years ago !
i've searched some and tried a few things on my own - i can't find a way to select pads in the mixer without triggering the sounds associated with the pads.
for example, instead of just bringing in a new part with track-mute, it would be nice to select the needed pads for the part and fade it in or out - for a fade in this is ok, because i can have the part at zero-volume ahead of time, but for a fade out, the samples are all triggered when i select them - even without full-level it's still kind of ugly
i did try to create a new midi track so that no sounds should play, but this doesn't matter after you select the DRUM program to enter the mixer.
the cursor keys can select one, but that's slow in a performance, and you cannot (seem to) select multiple with the cursor.
maybe someone has a trick
on a similar note, is there any quick way to get back to the track-mute screen from the mixer? seems like you have to go to mainscreen first.
thanks everyone ! learned alot reading here over the past few months and i was able to get right to work when i got my 2kxl
