how to get sounds to play on same channel?

how do i get my bass sound to playback on my mpc with the other song?
i'm playing the bassline with a midi keyboard and i know you got to put the sound of the bass on a new program ,(like a,b,c) but i have to switch to drum 2 with the wheel to hear the bass sample and drum 1 to hear the rest of the song already in the mpc. it won't play it back in a loop it just stops after 4 beats when listening to the song already in the mpc. how i can i get the song to playback/record while i'm playing the bass on the keyboard simutanelously behind it?

so your recording midi into the mpc? dosnt the mpc have to be on MIDI then the midi channel your keyboard is using? you said your putting it on DRUM...is the bass your playing a sample or is it a patch from the keyboard. maybe you need a mixer? i dont think thats the problem though...

In Song or in Pattern Mode?

In Patternmode you have to put the Loop ON in the Mainscreen.
In Songmode maybe you have to add more Patterns or repeat one more times.

In the left lower corner in the Mainscreen, there you can select a Programm
for each Track you will record in the Sequencer.
DRUM1:Drumprogram? / Drum2: your Bassprogram?/...
or Midi, if you want record Melodyline, to adress the Midikeyboard's Sounds.

the loop is on the main screen and i put the bass sample on another drum but it willl only play if drum 2 is selected for the bass sample.it still will not let me play the song and the bass sample i wann play together? how does the midi select option work cuz i've never used that? any help with this is appreciated thanks!

an further more anything i recorded on drum2 which is my bass i played with the midi keyboard plays separately from the song i did in loop mode in the main screen. so when you switch to drum1 your hear one part of the song, when you switch to drum 2 you hear the bass sample i played. i want to get these to play together. please help....
