Have any of you heard anything about being able to transfer the MIDI signal(s) recorded on the MPC to another sequencer/recorder such as Sonar?
I was recently in my local music equipment store. One of the sales associates said that creates a project on the MPC and saves it to his 3.5 floppy (or whichever media is compatible to his MPC).
He said that he then has the ability to take the disk out of his MPC, and insert it into his computer, and can load the file into Sonar, and it will lay the MIDI tracks recorded on the MPC.
He did not do a very good job of explaining how he was able to do this, which is why I'm posting the question here: Are any of you familiar with this, and if so, can you explain how to do it.
When I attempted it, Sonar did not recognize any of my MPC files. If this can be done, it would save a lot of being able to lay multiple MIDI tracks at once compared to 1 track at a time.
Insight,
k.l.
