loading .mid (midi files) into mpc2000xl

hello everybody =)

i am new to this forum and am buying a mpc2000xl. i tried to search previous posts to see if you could load midi files into the mpc2000xl sequencer but, to no avail.

is this possible? can you have the .mid file on the zip disk and simply load it in? will track levels be set as in the midi file or will it just be the note sequences?

any help would be much appreciated. i apologise if this question has been asked before.

I hope that when you say midi files that you mean Standard Midi Files.
If so, yes. It can read SMFs. You may wanna download a copy of the MPC2000XL manual and look through it to see what you may or may not like. There should be a link here to access the manuals.
