USB for the 2000xl

ohh yea? I didn't think it would recognize anything that large. I have a 4 gig drive.. had it for about 3 years now, and I don't think I've used up a gig yet. Why anyone needs a 60gb or larger hard-drive, I have no idea!

Yeah I've never used even half of the drive. It's funny how everyone wants to have bigger and bigger drives and I'm guessing 95% of those people won't EVER use EVERY last megabyte of space.

True...i have been on the boards a while, but have never really been that active
I guess i just dont spend enough time over in the 1K boards
Its hard for me to investigate and spend a lot of time learning about something that i dont have....makes me feel like i'm wasting time...

you could also pick up an s5000 or s6000 for 6 or 7 hundred bucks and they both support the same software. plus the s6k has got a sweat detachable face plate

Most people I know with a 1000 use a separate USB card reader to get sounds from PC to 1000. THe 1000 has to go into a special non functioning mode to hook up the the computer and then you just drag the files to the card and have to disconnect the USB cable get the 1000 out of this mode and then load the sounds from the card. A separate card reader makes it much simpler, but in a pinch it's a good feature.
