Availability of eb16 in UK?

Just before xmas i placed an order for this board through a local Dawsons Music Centre at the cost of £99. After the 'supposed' arrival date had passed, I rang them and found out that they probably won't be even able to purchase the thing from Akai's new importer 'Arbiter'.
I've since seen the eb16 advertised in a few UK music mags for £200, which for this price i'm tempted to buy the 8-outs board and then use external effects, ie. foot efx pedals as a temp solution. But as a beginner I believe in doing things methodically and milking everything out of a piece of equipment before progressing on, ie. eb16 being a good (cheaper) introduction to effects.
So...

1. anyone know where i purchase online for the eb16?
2. anyone know where i purchase via mailorder in the UK for the eb16 for £100?
3. jib the eb16 & take 8-outs route?

i have had so much trouble with those guys- i get really depressed when i find they have the distribution deal for yet another brand.....i suggest use ebay- you can get new ones on there....and it means the seller will actually have one in stock, it will turn up in good time, and it will work....

i hate arbiter- i haven't been able to get any kurziel stuff since theve been dealing in it.....

i wouldn't get the eb16 but the 8 outs is essential......
