linking up the mpc2000xl to the sp1200

wasup peeps. just wanna ask how do i go about hooking up the mpc2000xl to the sp1200. my plan is to use the sp1200 for drums and to also trigger the mpc's sounds (for long samples, basslines, etc. that the sp can't put in memory) i'm thinking that this might be a similar question when setting up the sp1200 and the akai s950. i would appreciate any help i can get. if this is a repost, i apologize. if so, can i get a link?
