Try American Music Supply too...

The last 2 that went on e-bay went for $245 and $300 !!!

Man, now that's demand.

AMS is quoting a 1/15/04 arrival for those and the 8 out expansion.

**** effects board :P

Do a good search and you can find good external equipment!
I't might be quite a hassel going onto ebay and trying to pick one up

I remember seeing some good stuff at MusiciansFriend.com for good prices (high 100's low 200's)

I'll try to hit you with a link later on, when i can get some more time

peace

I was thinking about getting the effects board too but I think I'd only really use it for adding a bit of reverb to certain sounds in a track.

I presume the alternative is to get the 8 outs and then route whatever sound I wanted through whatever piece of external equipment I had, then into a mixer to 'recombine' the now effected sound with the rest of the track.

Is this roughly right in principle?

Is the effects board that shit?

Hope someone can advise me - as you can see I'm not exactly a technical person.

I just bought this morning a new one on e-bay for $199,99.
E-bay I think is actually the best way to find one.
now I have to learn how to install it... (any help on this forum?)

I wish you to find one very soon... good luck!

Next to installing your memory the EB 16 is the easiest piece to install. It's been awhile but it will only fit the way that it is suppose to fit and it's designated slot is labled. If you need a visual aid just look in the back of your MPC manual.
