you do realize that many of these cds are compiled of samples used by producers who dug and originally used the sample not by those producers right?

lol probably! i wouldnt be suprised. i've heard sounds on some cheap sample cd's that sounded like they were ripped directly from the songs themselves. like the drum samples. lol those are the cheap ones. yea i try to stay away from those. they do have some really professional cd's out there though. multisamples and stuff. real instruments. i guess you get what you pay for. most of the ones floating around ebay are jacked directly from the songs. i know what you mean man, im just clownin around. thats why i always laugh...but my point is, there are some real nice legit cd's out there. load them thangs up in your sampler and create! its up to you to do something different wit it

yeah, i'm not talking about the ones like mpc guitar. i dont use those though because i try to be sample based and that seems more like using a sound module.

I have used sample cd's for bass sounds a lot, good bass sounds are hard to track down on vinyl (maybe its just me). yeah it would be embarassing for someone to be like "oh shiat isnt that the snare from (insert popular song name)?"
