MPC2000 Programs (Please Help)

OK so I load a series of programs on my MPC. I make a drum track with program 1, and then want to add sounds from programs 2 and 3. When I switch to those programs the sounds from that program take over my drum sounds. Is there a way to continue to play back my track from program 1 while adding sounds from other programs? Anyone please help....

Note: The discs I have are sound sets with different programs n them for each sound. So when I load them they take over banks A,B,C and D all with different scales i.e. keys minor and major. I don't know if this is relavent or not.

u cant change the programs once uv recorded a sequence, whatever sample is programed to the pad u played in the sequence must stay on that designated pad. the mpc records what pad is hit, not the sound on the pad. get it? so if u got a snare on pad 1 in drum bank 1, then that snare has to stay there, or else whatever sound u put on pad 1 will be played instead of the snare. am i making sence?

Ok I get that! How would I be able to use those other sounds then when I want to add them to a sequence. Would I just have to choose the individual sounds I want to use and just create one program? But then, I would only be able to use one bass note one key note etc. Bacause if I don't load the entire program I have limited sounds on the discs.(Maybe on note of every sound) Sorry dog this sh** is new to me. All I ever did with this thing was just record a few drum tracks, but I want to use it to it's full potential you know.

just press shift & program to get to the "assign" screen. from there just assign sounds to ur pads individually. then to record u would record on a new track with that pad/sample. i dont really understand what ur sayin about limited sounds, but check out the "16 levels" function. u just gotta fcuk around. and u should keep these posts in the newbie forum. ur not gonna get to many responses in this forum. peace
