man...resampling takes forEVER!!!!!

i was just messin around wit my mp today, and decided to try to resample and see what all the fuss was about. i wanted to change a sample from 44.1 to 32 and 16bit-12bit...its still loading

wait...its done

it sounds terrible!!!!!

most of the time this is only done for drums. makes them crunchy.

Resample is cool when you do it on small chops, for sure big sample takes alot of time.
Also there are quality presets on the resample menu, use the lowest, there is no quality difference between them ,.....it's just taking more time to proceed.

I haven't used that feature in years. I'll use sound forge for that. I've gotten to know which features take long and which ones I can accomplish in SF vice MPC.

Just use them for drum hits....it works really well with those....

if ya take an 8 bar loop and try and time stretch it that will take awhile too!

time stretch is a breeze......

word up. I tried it a few times too and was not impressed.

I'll try it on just the individual hits next time. What effect is it supposed to have?

i use mpc time stretch a lot, wich soundforge you use? because everytime i tried to use soundforge time stretch it sound like shit, and never get the timing i wanted.

i thought resampling on the 2kxl was not possible. somebody school me pls. i'd really like to check out the effects resapmling has.

2kxl manual page 97..

Resampling as in changing the bitrate of a sample is possible. But resampling like the asr-x,sp-x0x,mpc-1k .. is impossible on te mpc 2k(xl)
