Blue MPC??!?!?! Guess Im gonna cancel my order with musiciansfriend and buy it from sweetwater. I emailed sweetwater asking them if they had the blue ones in stock but they havent responded.

Actually a guy named Eric called me, today. I sent them email last week. He told me the blue ones are gonna be in after the NAMM show.

anyone here NOT diggin' the new colors? i thought akai was going in a good direction w/ the charcoal/black products like the mpd-16 and the dps recorders. they even make the dps-24 blue now. fugly. seriously, i WON'T buy an mpc-1000 just because it's so ugly, even while knowing that it's an amazing machine and can do pretty much everything that i need my 2000xl to do. obviously, this is just my opinion so don't take it to heart if you think the new colors look cool. just wondering if anyone else is like 'what is akai doing?!'...

those boring supermarket cash till lookalike 2k's were and still are the worst colours to have been thought of.

i mean everytime i look at one it reminds me of the 1980's.

the New Blue colour scheme is fresh..someting for 2K4.

The gray ones arent that bad. They look classic, but I concur that a color change was needed. I wouldve preferred black to blue. Who cares what they look like, they should be judged for what they can do. Don't tell me your prejudiced against BLUE machines now!
