MPC freezing when detecting zip drive

ok so my zip drive is not an scsi zip.....
i will have to get one then and if that does not work then it is a blown fuse.

In the menu on the MPC can you scroll to SCSI, like are the letters SCSI actually on the screen or fo you just scroll up and it freezes on 'wait.....'
if you can see SCSI then the fuse is probably fine, you just need the corect drive and a good working cord
