Pad Replacement advice needed

I've noticed lately that a 3 of my pads on my mpc 2000 classic have gone. I have to hit them wayyy too hard to get a sound to trigger. Should I opt to get everything replaced entirely? My repair guy quoted me $125 for the parts (canadian $)
I'm not the sort to go and open it up myself and just replace the rubber pads themselves!

There are two critical parts to the pad trigger assembly.

One is the RUBBER PADS that you hit every day.

The other, expensive part, is the PAD SENSOR that sits underneath it.

PAD SENSORS can fail but it usually takes many years for them to do so.

Some times re-seating of the PAD SENSOR ribbon into it's connector block can bring eveything back to life.

Either way though ... new RUBBER PADS and a fresh PAD SENSOR will bring things back to life for sure.

What he said is correct. Luckly i had an extra mpc for parts sittin around to change my pad sensor. But sometimes if u jus remove it and put it back on there(i know from experience) it will start back working. But like stated above that should get u goin.

I recently had my screen replaced and perhaps something got loose during the process. I'll pop it open and reconnect it to see if that works.

Take care with the pad sensor ribbon assembly.

The connector that holds it in place is a snap lock type with quick release mechanism.

IE: Don't pull or push un-necessarily on the pad sensor ribbon where it connects to the circuit board. Instead, work out how to remove and re-seat the ribbon in conjunction with operating the snap lock type quick release connector block that holds it in place.

A Cuz, goto cimplespares.com. They have the pad sensor you need for $36.59. Holla At Ya Boy. A, I tried to buy the sensor off that site but I guess you have to be from the UK. My fault Cuzn, I thought I had something for all of us, cause they have some deals. But, I guess its all bad.

It just so happened that the connector was loose after all! I carefully put it back in place and now everything is perfect. The pads all work beautifully now.
