2 more stupid questions

when naming tracks how do u completley erase a letter or #. ex. editing the name 05-track-05 to say only 05-tr.(ive been just putting dashes in the remain space after what i named it)

2 im having trouble when i have a sample a drum loop for instance, finding out beat# and how many bars

to erase i usually cursor over to the letter or number i want to erase and spin the data wheel to the left until there is no letter or number there.

2 im having trouble when i have a sample a drum loop for instance, finding out beat# and how many bars you need to listen... one bar on drum loop is usually "kick snare kick snare" (or a variation of that) next time you listen to a record practice counting bars... not only will you learn, but it'll make you a better person

on the same note: when naming songs the 16 levels key lets you make a space (drum_loop) and the pad bank keys works like "caps lock" on a computer...

Oh my god. I never knew that. I guess that's why I keep hanging out in this forum

(actually, it's the FULL LEVEL key that changes from Upper to Lower case)
