whatup peeps! I'm, excited as hell! I just got myself a new 2000xl! I started off using ya know, cubase, a korg Z1, JP8080 soundforge etc. And, while I STILL use Soundforge often, I have def come to appreciatte and love the mpc. I got a brand neww XL back in /'03 and I loved it. After a while I came across a 60 in MINT cond.! I mean, it was clean as hell, upgraded o.s., scsi, memory, man it was good to go. I used that for a while, but lately I been feelin' the XL! yeah, I seen the 1000 (garbage...personal opinion, so no hate mail, please!!!), same with the 2500. I do like the 4000, but I don't know if I'd actualy cop one. Anyhow, jus wanted to share my good fortune with yall. I mean this thing is clean! 32 megs, EFX board, and zip drive, which will soon be replace by a card reader. I like having stuff like this happen to me, and to other people! I was callin' shop for a few months before I finally found one. Everyone kept tryin to sell me the 2500. I've been usin the MPC for 7 yrs, man if I wanted a 2500, I'd get one mang. Most of us know alot more about M.P.C.s than the salesman at Guitar center or your local dealer. With the exception of a few, they jus' tryin to sell us the newest, wackest most expensive P.O.S. they HALF TO Respect those who are the future producers, singers, rappers, managers, creative consutants, etc. that walk into their stores.-deyveM
