The MPC2000 manual does not appear to be on the Akai site anymore - peraps someone here can either upload it to their web space, or send it to me and I'll put it online.

As to filtering out stuff - can't really be done, but do a search, because that question comes up every week.

Discharge static electricity from your body, open up your MPC, put the 8out board in the correct spot, screw in all the screws nice and firm (don't break the board), close, and simultaneously; all together now; turn on MPC and read Chapter8: Mixer functions pg 131 in the 2kxl manual. I know what your thinkin, "I DON'T HAVE A 2KXL", read it anyway and get what you can out of it.

I could tell you but then you wouldn't be doing your homework on your OWN machine now would you? Turn to:

Chptr 13: Appendix, pg. 192, Install memory expansion..
