scsi cd-rw drives?

do they make these. where u can burn programs, sound sequences, sounds and songs, to a external drive.

if so how much.

just asking because im install the ram upgrade on my classic, and feel stupid for not install an internall zip while i have that puppy open(cash flow not adequete). but at the same time think that if a scsi external cd/rw is usuable(exists) that might beat the point of a internal zip

You can't burn CDs from a 2000 or 2000XL.

i know that sony makes a scsi cd rom/cdrw drive that runs about $250.00 to $300.00. it must be compatible with the mpc, so go to akai's website and pull up the compatible media chart, and make sure that you find a drive that is compatible with the mpc. hope it helps.

they do make them and you can find them for about 150.00 but you have got to search.......it can load samples into your mp but cant burn from the mp........you can link it to your computer and burn your completed stuff there if u dont have a burner installed in your computer.......If you do then you dont need an external burner just make sure your software will support disk at once
