Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By mistapipsta Thu May 18, 2006 7:18 pm
Just bought a sound module for MPC2000XL.
I tried to make a beat on Track 1, then attempted to add Track 2 with different sound.
However, everytime I change the PGM # it also changes the drum sound for Track 1.
How can I change drum kits from sound module through the MPC without it affecting Track 1 so that I can record on Track 2 with a different kit?
Someon please help.

Are botch tracks supposed to trigger different programs in the sound module ? If so check your soundmodule's manual and search for MULTI mode.

unless Im mistaken that drum module isnt multitimbral....

your best bet would be to sample the drums into your mpc....
