hd via mpc

Hi Im trying to connect a scsi Hd with the 2000xl but when i go to format the Hd to an mpc format he is giving me scsi not ready but he is seeing the hard disk specs..... any help regarding this situation

more details please. What size, brand type is the harddisk? is it terminated ?

it is about 2.5 gb yes i terminated the scsi port on the external case he is recognising it but he is saying scsi not ready the brand of the scsi is a segate 50 pin ide let me give you the link as well http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/scsi/st32107n.html

its formated with fat 32 right now

Do you have other external scsi devices that are connected to your MPC ? (just to make sure your scsi port functions correctly)

i have a zip drive it connects perfectly maybe i should try all the scsi id coz a frend of mine told me some equipment just loads on a specific id number
