((((Error at 0000:BDF7))))) WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???? HELP!

i keep getting this message everytime i try to load. i was told by the akai pro guys that i needed a new OS, and they sent me one on zip, and when i tryed to load the new OS it still tells me Error at 0000:BDF7, and it goes to a bunch of number/letter combo codes, etc, and then i have to reboot to start agian.
any body know what this means????? has anybody ever seen this message before???HELP

If you have the mpc2000 and not the mpc2000xl then this will not work because for the 2000 you have to load the os on start.

1. Start mpc without anything in your respective drive ie zip or floppy
2. go to the load screen still without anything inserted
3. now go to the part that says atapi(ie internal zip)
4. move it up to scsi one or two doesnt really matter
5. put in your disk
6. then scroll back to atapi
7 and it should work

ok i just followed those steps you had, but it still is tellin me error at 0000:BDF7. well if anything comes to mind about how to go about this yall lemme know. i did a search for this problem on here, there was none on it freakin out on load, mostly other things like seq and saving samples,etc. Im gonna keep fishin, and gonna try and get the disk formatted agian to get read properly by the 2K xl, and hope that works. I appreciate it, lemme know if anything else comes to mind or if ya find somthin.

This is another way that I use whenever that error comes across the screen.
1. Load the mpc without anything in it.
2. Let your mpc go pass load memory portion so that it doesnt read a disk.
3. After the memory check/load has been completed put your disk in
4. dont go to load or anything, just let the mpc sit in this state for a little bit

and i dont mean let it sit for like two minutes
go use the computer or watch tv or something for 10-20 minutes
5. now go to the load screen and it should be all good

Here is another step for those that have a sound module
1. follow 1-3 from the above directions
2. now still in direction three, start to make a beat
3. do what you would normally do when making a beat with your module
4. And after you have finished making your drums go to the save screen and save
5. then continue working on you beat and it should be all good

remember this will not work with samples form your zip because you cant load or save yet.

NICE!!!! I ran through those tips, and it worked! it removed the old OS from the flash mem, s now i rebooted it, and it ask for the mpc2kxl disk, and i popped it in, and a error message came up, so i rebooted it agian with the disk in and it started running through the disk correctly, now it says Loading MPC2KXL.BIN and its taking a nice long minute to load. been like this for about 20 minutes, if your on now can ya lemme know if this is what its saposed to do, and if it finishes and does it thing, ill get back to ya. But yeah man your the man foreal, you dont even know how long ive been dealin with this thing and how much this set me back on production, yo be blessed in Yahshua's name!
