Midi echo when mastering to MV-8000

I'm trying to get my MPC as a master slaving into my MV so:

MV IN -> MPC A OUT
MV A OUT -> MPC IN 1

With this configuration I set the MV midi to A1 the MPC M:Drum1:1a-Device01

With this I touch any pad I hear a big time feedback loop that doesn't go away until I unplug the MPC IN 1 and plug it into MPC IN 2

SO I have this config:

MV IN -> MPC A OUT
MV A OUT -> MPC IN 2

Now this doesn't cause a feedback loop but everytime I hit a pad it sounds like a double hit. I record into MV and it doesn't record it as a double hit and sounds decent after the fact but when I'm playing it on the MPC it hits double.

To stop that I turned off the Midi on the MPC did my drum break then turned the midi back on and sequenced it into the MV - that way I didn't have to put up with the double hits. I set the MV to wait note record then just play the sequence which works but its off time and after playing the first loop it messes up my first kick.

I'm new with this midi trying to get it down but I have yet to see one other person try hooking up an MPC 2000xl to an MV-8000 so I have nothing to go off of - anyone get this setup working? or can clue me in on some of my problems?

Before this I had a MotifES midi'd to the MV with no problems at all.

I have solved this porblem - it was set to drums when it was doubling - seems fine now thanks.
