Problem assigning 8 output to individual channels

sup all? 8 output board fitted...but when I go to the mixer screen I can only assign each pad a/01, a/02 etc to grpuped outputs (eg. 1/2, 3/4, 5/6. 7/8) and by turning the data wheel it won't show up the individual output slots 1-2-3-4-5- etc on the screen...I want individual sounds not pads coming out that are assigned to 1/2, 3/4 etc....any ideas???? any help appreciated??? the manual shows that I should be able to fit 8 ouputs on to 8 individual channels..this ain't happening??

I think you'll have to pan each sound either hard left or hard right. That's at least what you have to do on the MPC 1000 to make a stereo channel into two mono channels.

Ah but this the 2k(xl) we're talkig about, and this MPC can split any stereo sample in to 2 mono samples.

Yeah, lol, that thread AND it says in the manual EXACTLY what I wrote down.

It's also physically impossible, the 1/4 adapter outs on the 8 out board are MONO by physical design. You CANNOT place a stereo sample on only 1 out. That's why it won't let you in the menus.

Gotta be more thorough with the manual at times.
