Which format should I choose for zip disks? (MPC2k classic)

Hi, I'll soon be having a MPC 2000 classic. I want to be able to read my zip disks from both the computer and the MPC, that's why I want to format the zip disks in my computer. I've read that I should choose FAT 16 as the file system. But when I right click -> Format, I can only choose "NTFS", "FAT32" or "FAT".

What should I do? Should I install some 3rd party formatting utility or what?

FAT is the same as FAT16.

Also, use separate ZIP disks: One for loading computer files into your MPC and One for saving what you loaded from your computer .

Review: 1 computer formatted zip disk that your MPC can read, but no save.
1 MPC formatted zip disk for saving MPC only files.

i think you should use fat man..have you tried formatting inside your mpc? did that work for you?

Format in pc using fat/fat16 (same thing).

If you format in mpc and place that disc in your pc it will ruin those filenames and/or not see the disc at all. You'll be PISSED later on.

PGM's are dependant on filenames.
