Keyboard midi with mpc2000xl

Hola.
I have one MPC2000XL and today THIS keyboard has come to me midi. I have connected it with the cable of the exit of the keyboard to the entry of the MPC.
The problem is that not since(as,like) forming it. Someone can help me?

Only it(he,she) wanted to be able use like a keyboard midi with the mpc.
Principally I want it to programme the bass.

Keyboard MIDI out -> MPC MIDI in
Keyboard MIDI in -> MPC MIDI out
Keyboard Audio out -> monitors (reciever, mixer, speakers etc.)
MPC Audio out -> monitors (reciever, mixer, speakers etc.)
The keyboard you have looks like a MIDI controller more than a keyboard you would want to use bass sounds out of. I don't know how to set it up beyond this wiring, I'm sure it's in the manual though.
