STRYKE I HAVE SEEN THIS VIDEO AND LIKE 5 TIMES AND IN THE FIRST PART OF THE VIDEO HE GOES THRU THE CONNECTION WITHOUT SAY WHATS CONNECTED TO WHAT. hE ALSO DOES NOT GO INTO TALKING ABOUT SETTING UP THE MIDI TIME CLOCK IN THE MPC IF THAT IS EVEN NECESSARY AT ALL. ALL HE SHOW IS TO BASICALLY MIRROW THE TRACKS IN REASON TO BE THE SAME AS IN THE MPC. iTS STILL NO HELP TO ME

the video was helpful to a point....i watched it a few times too but it doesnt actually show the connections fully. all i really need to know is if there is a midi cable that has to go from the mpc back to the computer somehow...as in do i need to connect a midi adapter to my computer for this to work. i went through all the steps in the video and that could be the only thing wrong at this point. it doesnt seem to matter that we have XL's and not the 1000. it should be connected the same way. 
we will "beat " here forever!!
