MY F****ING MPC2000 Just froze AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

Shit i just had a beat flowing nice was playing it and tweaking the envelopes when it froze with DIV Error trouble is i was too busy shouting at it to notice the number then i switched it off in disscust.....anybody had this problem????
Not not looking for an answer just wanted to go AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH which i have done had the neighbours worried i think they thought murder had been comitted it mearly was !

That shit sucks! sorry man. I had my xl bug out on me yesterday while i was doing some time stretching. Gave me weird error then spit shit load of random numbers on display (debug/halt codes?) worst of all I am still waitin on my card reader so i am forced to save to floppys for this week

DO u think those codes that pop up on the screen mean something?? I wondered that when Mine froze for the first time the other day

I think they do. Its weird how you can select diff things with the Function keys and it will display other numbers/codes. Im betting they are some sort of debug/halt codes that only the akai devs can understand.. or aliens. i wonder what asm lang they use in the xl os. would be nice if they gave people access to the xl os source code, then people could come up with all types of crazy mods and it would surly extend the life of the xl.

hmmm, if my classic 2000 freezes on me again with the numbers, im going to try pressing the function keys also, to see if the numbers switch.

yeah those DIV error must mean something but when it freezes up what else can you do before the red mist sets in !

Thankfully it hasn't happened again, did have unrelated ZIP drive problems but sorted that now...it's just a solid lesson in saving ya work, never lose that and thiink i'll just do this tweak then save it SAVE NOW !!

Thats why sometime just save once u make any beat incase it **** up.

I sometimes save every time I make a critical change to a beat, but luckly for me the ol' 2K has been rock solid
