Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By nymortgagepro Wed Jul 19, 2006 4:49 am
I set up my mpc to my digi002 via midi in and out.

Then when I enable a midi track to record I have a constant signal on the the midi track to the point where it's clipping in the red.

I'm not even hitting a button.

Then if I have an audio track while this is going on it starts going crazy

Why is this happening. I've never seen this before how do I fix it

try turning Local ctrl off on the mpc. it sounds like the MPC is causing a midi feedback loop into protools. This can have an affect on the audio too.

I thought the MPC automatically comes out of local when you turn the midi in on,

I know this is a stupid question but I can't figure how to turn the local off,

What are the commands

How to turn on/off local control is in the manual.

No, its not automatic.

I don't have the manual.

How do I get to the screen that allows me to turn the local control off
