Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

ok heres wut i want...

to be able to have all my sounds seperated on a program...

like a hihat kit......snare kit....kick kit...

and load those through the makin of a sequence

CAN THIS BE DONE???

example)..

load the snares....record the snare hits.

load the kicks...record em...

load the hihats....record them


but wen u swithc programs doesnt it erase wut u recorded and shit?

It's completely capable of doing that. You just have to select the right program with the right track.

You can load different programs to different tracks. So your kick track can be program1, your snare track program2, etc.

What this all boils down to is something basic.

It's in your manual.

You need to get up and get into your manual.

Figure out the capabilites of your machine
and THEN, you need to be creative enough to put those capabilites and functions to use in order to get what you want. Sometimes you mayb want to combine functions to give you a certain thing. BUT, you need to KNOW and understand these functions in order to do that.

It all starts with your manual.

So so true. Read the manual from back to front over the course of a couple of days. You'll learn a lot! I never used to read manuals, but I did with the MPC. It's not actually that long and you'll feel better for it.

ok i HAVE been reading the manual.....and evryone is like "its in the manual".....well I CANT FIND IT.....maybe im looking for the wring terms..

im comin from usin fruityloops......co can somone compare programs and tracks and shit to Fruityloops?
