I was wondering if it was possible to save changes to the OS, (ie my midi sync settings) to disk. That way i can just pop the OS disk in and not set everything back up when startin a new beat. Plan on tryin it when i get outta this shit hole tonight but if anybody knows....... please let a fellow MPC user know whats up.

Gracias Mi Amigos

No, there are other files types that are used to save all that info.

The manual specifically explains what files types save what info.

You might want to try .ALL and .APS. I'm not sure which, but when I load up my live sets (with one .all and one .aps), I'm pretty sure those settings are maintained. Worth a shot. I don't think any of the other file types will do it though.

EDIT- If you have an OS disk, I'm guessing you have a 2000... I've only tried this on an XL. It is also the only way to save stuff like MIDI device names.
