Not a real problem just want to see if it happend to anyone else...
So your bangin on the pads and all of the sudden the cursor button changes whatever setting its on...

For example If I leave the cursor over the timing field and Im banging a track out...
It will change the timing from 1/8 to OFF
Or if im in the program screen it will change programs if I leave the cursor over that...

Strange...
Anyone ever encounter this

Yeah...sometimes the clicks on the jog wheel balances between two click points and when you start hittin' the pads the jog wheel clicks onto the next position. It'll happen more often if the Jog wheel is worn.

If you still have those other 2000's swap a jog wheel.
If not then go ahead and order one.
Usually they first show yo trouble with wandering value when you use the jog wheel, but if yours is bouncing when you are tapping it's probably already past the early stages of failure.

Swapping the jogwheel won't help, it may actually be 2 things:

1. Dying out or Faulty rotary switch (the thing that the jog wheel sits on.
2. What Kraster said.

Those are my guesses and that's what I would check out if it were me.

Stop being an a** that's what I was talking about swapping.
Jackpot had a couple of 2kxl's sitting around he could remove a Potentiometer from one of them and put it in place of the faulty one.

Some f*cking people are a trip.

Yes, why would someone think I was talking about replacing the plastic knob?
Come on be for real.
