cd player with mpc

hi, i'm going to buy a cd player (TECHNICS SL-PG360A) and i want to use it as a source for some sampling - guess i need an amplifier or reciever or whatever, so what should it be?
2nd question: when i buy the cd player i want to use it for regular listening as well...i want to use my studio monitors(active) for the playback...but i dont wanna switch the cables from the mpc record-ins to monitors and back...u feel me? what shoud i get to easily switch between those two? i did a google and only thing i found is Mackie BigKnob, but this is much more than i'll ever need..
feel free to correct me if my understandings are wrong in some way

Run the CD player to an mixer then take the mixer out to the RECORD IN on your MPC. Connect the monitors to the Control out or Main outs on the mixer. Should do the job.

ok, this could work but i'll have to look at it closely, b/c im not quite sure if all the plugs will be compatible (RCA, TRS atc) and if there will be enough outs... i'll ask for help at my local music shop, this is too complex to be solved here, i guess... thank you for the idea
