copying events from step mode?

hey there guys,

i want to copy complete events from the steps mode without changing sounds on the pads...?
let's say i have a loop of 4 bars and want to copy the complete events from track 1 (for example just a kickdrum from pad A01), to another sound on pad A05. and I don't wanna change the sounds on the pads! and of course i would prefere NOT to do it note by note in the step mode...

sorry for this dumb question, i tried searchin' but couldn't find an answer...

Make a copy of the track to another track and then transpose the events that acces pad a01 to access pad 05.
