Hey whats really good i have been browsing around here for a minute checkin out post cause im gettin back in to makin music again this time on a more serious level. Ive been debating getting an MPC for a minute and a brand new boxed 2k was in my own town at a price i couldnt say no to. so now i own. I do have some questions though.....any help is well appreciated

now the original mpc 2000 came with the standard floppy disk, not the zip drive? i have scsi should i get a zip which is almost non existent or go external cd\rom or external hard drive? if you say external hd/cd then which is better of the two...

The only components other than the mpc i have is a full size korg keyboard......and a mini roland that i use to make beats on the go or if i go to the studio and need to get one out...and my laptop....i have access to everything else mixers...turntables(<---wouldnt need them) but yea everything.. but what do I need? like could i just use my laptop, keyboards and mpc?

i dont have audio cables with them correct me if im wrong but i will need those to hook to and outside source of sound being as the MPC doesnt have internal speakers?

i think thats it for now if i get good answers i'll probably have more questions i'll just see what i can get for now..........

scsi cdrom/zip/hard drive -> 2k classic (I'd choose zip in this case, you can also get a usb zip drive for your computer).

Keyboard -> Mixer

MPC -> Mixer

Keyboard & MPC midi'd together
OR
to audio interface for sync with software DAW.

Mixer -> audio interface -> laptop.

Software DAW to record, done.

Check out tweakheadz.com for in depth studio advice also.
