Sampling question

So I save a piece of music from a record and assign it to a drum pad, when I play whatever I sampled from the pad it's played at a faster rate then when I sampled it. Which means I have to sample everything with the turntable pitch 50% slower, heaven forbid I need to sample from a CD, Help!

yea, he probably had the pitch too high, i would say reboot your mpc before you make any new beats, so everything is reset

The inverted way is a nice idea to save memory, I mean to pitch the turntable higher and tune the samples down on the MPC.

just like on the sp 1200 to save memory

wish I had one...who else ?:D

That will work, but then you will be working with a lower quality sample. When you pitch down, the sample rate goes below 44k. In some cases, that could work to your advantage though if you want a lo-fi sound which should work the same as resampling to a lower frequency without taking up the extra space.
