I always have my BPMs at double the normal rate, it just seems a lil tighter this way... I could be wrong, but since I doubled my BPMs, I haven't gone back.

you lost me with the fast bpm thing. my beats range from 80 to 95, if you got a sequence going at 156 bpm do you add the snare on the 3rd beat of each bar or something like that??

knowing about doubling the tempo is pretty important. Check it out in "bpm match" when you flip the top number it auto matically changes the original bpm, same concept. SO if you want to match bpm and do as little changing to the phrase, sometimes i flip the 4 to an 8 or whatever to see what i can get the original bpm close to the one i want. but you have to keep in mind that if you use a number other than a multiple of 4, like lets say 5, youll have to increase your measures by the common multiple-just to get the phrase to match to your measures exactly. ya know?
